I am beginning a journey to (a) hike every US National Park and (b) to summit the tallest points in every US State by 2025. This is for a number of reasons, the first being that much of my ‘preaching’ about mental, physical and emotional health and wellness is simply getting outside, moving your body and learning to love the silence and your own presence. One of the best ways to do this is to go out and hike, camp, climb, and just be outdoors. The second reason for these two lofty goals is that I thrive on goals and challenges and this is a long-term goal that will keep me occupied for a good number of years.
The hikes currently on the docket include a 16 day hike through the PNW and California in from April 27th, 2023 to May 12th, 2023:
- Olympic National Park
- Mount Rainier National Park
- North Cascades National Park
- Mount St. Helens
- Multnomah Falls
- Deschutes National Forest
- Crater Lake National Park
- California National Historic Trail
- Redwoods National Park
A common misconception is that once you learn how to manage or recover from depression, anxiety, anorexia, and any other mental health challenge, is that you’re done. You’re done navigating and can just go about your life “like normal” (whatever that means lol), however it’s a constant process of learning new coping mechanisms, building healthy habits and boundaries, and constantly improving yourself. Hiking, exploring, and adventuring are my ways of doing just that, and my goal is to raise awareness for mental health resources, help others overcome these challenges through creating their own healthy habits and lifestyle changes and document my hiking journey(s) and process along the way.

Given the time commitment, resources, and energy required to complete my goals by 2025, I have organized a GoFundMe for those that feel called to support my journey and mission to aiding others, and in addition to publishing my hiking guides, tips, tricks, and other supporting resources for those that wish to physically follow my journey, I will be organizing group hiking trips for those that hope to begin their healing / wellness journey and want to do so alongside other likeminded people — let’s GET OUR ADVENTURE ON!
